Let’s Sing Choir Glossop

Sarah Jarman: -

"I’m so glad that I made the decision to join Let’s Sing Glossop. I’d been thinking about joining a choir for some time but worried that it would be too formal and I’d never keep up!

The Let’s Sing sessions are relaxed, enjoyable and they sound great! Both confidence boosting and stress-busting, I’ve come to really look forward to choir each week; Eleanor manages to challenge us to sing impressive harmonies to a wide range of songs from Disney to Les Miserables to ABBA while teaching us at a comfortable pace where we’re free to take risks and make mistakes. And there are social events too!"

Barbara Hastings-Astourian: -

"I started singing in 2016. I was in pain and waiting for 2 new hips. While I was singing I was able to forget the pain, smile, laugh and thoroughly enjoy myself. Everything I have read about community choirs is true for me. I have made really good friends and found that I do have a voice. I was even back singing two weeks after hip surgery, I couldn't wait any longer! Singing in Eleanor's choir fills me with joy, and I now love our public performances and look forward to them. Even better than this is that Eleanor enables us to produce beautiful sounds, harmonies, even solos if we dare. It’s a happy place to be."

Let’s Sing Choir Audenshaw

“I have enjoyed each session. They are relaxed and there is no pressure if you are unsure of your part. It is just like a family reunion every week with the joy of singing as an added bonus.”

Donna Fitton: -

“When I first heard of Let Sing I was excited to go and see what it was all about.
From the first day of joining the singing group I knew I had made the right decision. It doesn't matter if you have not sung before or only sing in the shower. Singing is a great stress buster and everyone is so nice.

Eleanor the MD is fantastic always full of encouragement and teaches you how to get the right notes and sing in harmony. We not only sing but we also fundraise and have social evening's out together . If you fancy joining us please come along. Singing is for all ages.”

Robert Miller: -

“It's one big happy family.”

Paul Murney: -

"A welcoming community choir that encourages people of all singing abilities. If you enjoy singing and would like to make new friends in a relaxed environment then Let’s Sing is for you."

Ruth Nixon: -

"As a new member I was made to feel so welcome at the Let's Sing Audenshaw Choir. There is a relaxed, friendly and supportive atmosphere; a sense of community where everyone looks out for each other. Eleanor is a great teacher and Musical Director and there is always something new and fun to experience. Beyond weekly rehearsals, there are lots of interesting performance opportunities and social events to get involved with. For me, the choir is a great creative outlet, stress reliever, confidence builder and supports my well-being. If you've always liked the idea of joining a choir, come along and give it a go, a warm welcome awaits!"

Drop-In Workshops

Let’s Sing: Les Miserables: -

“[favourite part of the session was..] singing along in such a friendly atmosphere and with a super teacher”

Let's Sing Daytime Class

Angela Nuttall: -

“I’ve always enjoyed music and singing along to my favourite songs so I decided to join Eleanor’s Sing-a-Long on a Wednesday. At first I was quite nervous thinking I might have to sing on my own and not being the best singer in the world, however I soon realised  everyone sings together and was soon made to feel very relaxed and comfortable. We meet up everyone fortnight and it’s such great fun, we have a brew and a chat about what we have all been up to then sing along to all different genres of music  Eleanor chooses for us and provides the lyrics and also asks what we would like to sing the following week from Take That, Beatles, Carpenters or Elvis! - we also discuss the artist and their lyrics, there’s something for everyone! I would highly recommend Eleanor’s Sing a Long  for anyone who enjoys music, singing and meeting new people.”
